What is freeze drying?
THRIVE freeze-dried products are flash frozen, sublimated, and packaged to remove as much water as possible, all without sacrificing quality or nutritional value. These foods last longer and are healthier than foods that are simply dehydrated. Though both processes remove significant amounts of water from perishable food items, the speed of freeze drying locks in existing tastes and nutrients that would be lost during dehydration. Additionally, since freeze drying removes a greater percentage of water than dehydration, the shelf life of freeze-dried food increases by several years.

Storage Conditions
Temperature: Storing THRIVE at a high temperature can significantly increase the speed that calories and vitamins will degrade over time. In the correct storage container, low-moisture foods such as THRIVE can be stored at room temperature or cooler (75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower) and remain nutritious and edible for years. Our stated shelf life assumes that the product will be stored in optimal conditions.
Humidity: The effects of humidity on a closed can are caused by heat and very similar to the effects of high temperature (see above). High humidity can corrode the cans and in some cases even cause the cans to leak. Areas with high humidity can reduce the opened shelf life of the product. As humidity varies with location please use your own discretion to prevent possible sickness from eating spoiled food.
Damaged Container: Minor dents in the center of the can are usually just a cosmetic issue. However, a can that has been dented near or on a seam can have a compromised air-tight seal and allow oxygen to enter the can. If this is the case we recommend using the dented can within the specified opened shelf life, rather than closed.
The best way to maintain the highest quality of your THRIVE products is to take care of them. If you intend on storing your food for the sealed shelf life, store the cans in a place that is not open to elements such as water, light, and air. Take care of it. Don't expose it unnecessarily to the elements. Also, be sure to keep the temperature and humidity low and even. Under these proper storing situations your THRIVE will maintain its delicious taste, natural coloring, and proper nutrients.

Awesome
Got my first shipment and first thing I had to try the green beans. We were cooking supper and getting ready to dump a can of beans in the pot. So we open the number ten can and tried them out. A little boiling water, toss in the beans, and then season to taste. They were really good. They were as good as fresh out of the garden.

Like real green beans
I've bought green beans before and they had an awful texture. These look and taste like fresh green beans. Fantastic.

Love them
The green beans are nice and crunchy. I like them both raw out of the can and I have hydrated them and cooked them in the microwave. They were good both ways. I can not wait to try them in soups.

Fresh Taste
Far superior to canned products. As close to garden fresh as you can get.

Once again ...
I can't help but share my thoughts about everything my husband and I have tried since we started using Thrive foods. We finally had the opportunity to use the green beans one evening. At first, my husband was skeptical, but once he tasted them, he was very impressed with how well they held up after being cooked. I was glad to see that they didn't get all mushy like commercially canned green beans often do just after reheating. Great job! :)

A great bean
I have never had a better green bean, they really are like picking them from a garden, other than the texture, If you like green beans you'll love these and even if you don't you may change your mind.

Almost as good as the garden!
These are the closest green beans to garden fresh as I can find without having to have a garden! FAR BETTER than any frozen or canned beans--they don't even compare. Because they aren't cooked when processed, they still maintain color and a fresh texture when rehydrated! My kids gobble them up as fast as I put them on the table! We love them!

They're ok, but I wouldn't say they are as good as canned.
We added salt and they still were not as good as canned. However, they are freeze dried so it is impressive that they aren't bad.
